What the stamp says

The window of the card holds a bar with all the marks of the house. We read them on the photograph.

A card one millimetre thick

According to the house, the card is the size of a credit card: 85.6 by 54 millimetres, one millimetre thick.

The house calls it FineCard: a bar of 999.9 fine gold is set into the card. It holds the same 1 g bar as the UnityBox.

The house intends the FineCard as a gift for “matters of the heart”. Its motif shows the occasion.

Heimerle + Meule

A house from Pforzheim

Recovering and refining precious metal has been at the heart of the house since its founding. Today it recovers gold and silver from jewellery, coins, dental gold alloys, silverware and silver-plated cutlery, as well as from industrial residues.

Chronicle

The chronicle of the house

  1. 1845

Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, in Pforzheim to recover precious metal from production waste on behalf of his customers.

  2. 1945

In the war the company building is destroyed, according to the house on 23 February. The house finds new premises at the jewellery and watch factory Knoll + Pregitzer.

  3. 1977

The house leaves the town centre and moves into premises in the Brötzinger Tal industrial area.

  4. 2010

The house introduces its investment products division.

  5. 2014

On 3 June the LBMA, the association of the London precious metals market, admits Heimerle + Meule to its Good Delivery List for gold, the register of accredited refiners.

LBMA

What the London list means

The LBMA’s Good Delivery List names the refiners whose bars may be delivered into the London market.

It refers to large bars: for gold between 350 and 430 fine ounces, about 10.9 to 13.4 kilograms. Smaller bars do not count in London wholesale trading, so a bar of 1 g is not a Good Delivery bar.

The print “LBMA Good Delivery Refiner” on the packaging therefore refers to the house, not to the individual bar.

Investment Gold for Holy Communion – the FineCard by Heimerle & Meule

  • Investment goal: With a 1g gold bar you effectively protect your wealth against the gradual erosion of currency value.
  • Value preservation: Small gold bars are a reliable store of value that preserves the real purchasing power of your savings and safeguards it over the years.
  • Protection: Especially in times of inflation, recession and high government debt, you protect your wealth with physical gold.
  • Crisis protection: Small-format gold bars in particular make an excellent, handy means of payment and exchange in uncertain times.

First Holy Communion accompanies a young person for a lifetime – and it is exactly this idea that the FineCard by Heimerle + Meule takes up. Embedded in the high-quality, credit-card-sized card is a genuine, minted bar of 999.9 fine gold. The sacred design gives the whole a personal touch. The real substance – and the true reason to buy – is, however, the fine gold it contains, whose value is directly tied to the gold price. Despite the festive occasion, what you are purchasing here is therefore not a mere gift, but full-fledged investment gold to give as a present.

The Design of the FineCard

The front shows an open Bible with the inscription "Zur heiligen Kommunion" (For Holy Communion), in front of it a silver-shimmering chalice with a host bearing the Christogram "IHS". The scene is completed by a crucifix, a fresh loaf of bread, ripe grapes and golden ears of wheat – the classic symbols of the Last Supper, warmly lit by rays of sunlight. In the upper right corner sits the 1g bar with the inscription "FINE GOLD 999.9", the distinctive gold-caster logo along with the year, and the weight indication "1g".

999.9 Fine Gold from Germany's Oldest Refinery

The manufacturer is Heimerle + Meule, Germany's oldest active gold and silver refinery, based in Pforzheim, whose roots go back to 1845. This tradition stands for precision, a quality management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, and the globally coveted "LBMA Good Delivery" status. The minted bar weighs exactly 1 gram, is Brilliant Uncirculated, LBMA-certified, and bears the "Made in Germany" seal. On the back of the card, the specification "Fine gold | 1 g | Purity 999.9", the signature of Managing Director Georg Steiner, and the LBMA seal confirm its authenticity – a certificate of authenticity is thus permanently integrated.

Small Gold Bars as an Inflation Hedge

Physical gold has been a proven store of value for over 6,000 years and is regarded as a tangible inflation hedge. Throughout its entire history it has never had a value of zero, possesses intrinsic value, and is recognized as currency around the globe. While fiat money can be expanded almost without limit by central banks, the supply of gold remains scarce – a key reason for its long-term value stability. It is no coincidence that central banks themselves are among the largest holders of gold in the world.

  • Preservation of value and protection of purchasing power across generations
  • High liquidity and the ability to trade and resell at any time
  • Building wealth in small, affordable steps – one gram at a time
  • Physical ownership you can hold in your hand, without dependence on an issuer

Compared to larger bars or classic gold coins, this 1-gram format scores with its low capital requirement: entry is possible with a very manageable sum, and thanks to the handy denomination, the holding can later be sold flexibly and in parts. In this way, many small quantities of gold add up over the years to a considerable fortune.

Gold is the oldest currency in the world – it has outlived all others and will not lose its shine in the future either.

So for Communion, give not a fleeting token of attention, but a genuine gold investment that honors the day and endures at the same time. An additional advantage for investors: profits from the later sale of physical gold are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year. This way, you combine a personal occasion with the solid foundation of one of the world's most precious metals.
