What the stamp says

The window of the card holds a bar with all the marks of the house. We read them on the photograph.

Bar in a card

A card one millimetre thick

According to the house, the card is the size of a credit card: 85.6 by 54 millimetres, one millimetre thick.

The house calls it FineCard: a bar of 999.9 fine gold is set into the card. It holds the same 1 g bar as the UnityBox.

The house intends the FineCard as a gift for “matters of the heart”. Its motif shows the occasion.

Heimerle + Meule

A house from Pforzheim

Recovering and refining precious metal has been at the heart of the house since its founding. Today it recovers gold and silver from jewellery, coins, dental gold alloys, silverware and silver-plated cutlery, as well as from industrial residues.

Chronicle

The chronicle of the house

  1. 1845

Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, in Pforzheim to recover precious metal from production waste on behalf of his customers.

  2. 1945

In the war the company building is destroyed, according to the house on 23 February. The house finds new premises at the jewellery and watch factory Knoll + Pregitzer.

  3. 1977

The house leaves the town centre and moves into premises in the Brötzinger Tal industrial area.

  4. 2010

The house introduces its investment products division.

  5. 2014

On 3 June the LBMA, the association of the London precious metals market, admits Heimerle + Meule to its Good Delivery List for gold, the register of accredited refiners.

LBMA

What the London list means

The LBMA’s Good Delivery List names the refiners whose bars may be delivered into the London market.

It refers to large bars: for gold between 350 and 430 fine ounces, about 10.9 to 13.4 kilograms. Smaller bars do not count in London wholesale trading, so a bar of 1 g is not a Good Delivery bar.

The print “LBMA Good Delivery Refiner” on the packaging therefore refers to the house, not to the individual bar.

The year in the medallion, 1845, is the year in which the story of the house begins.

1 g Gold Bar Heimerle + Meule "Happy Wedding" – real investment gold in an elegant FineCard

  • Investment goal: With gold bars you protect your wealth exceptionally effectively against creeping currency depreciation.
  • Value preservation: As a reliable store of value, the fine gold it contains secures the real value of your savings – and lets it grow over the years.
  • Protection: Especially in times of inflation, recession and spiralling government debt, you can support your wealth with gold.
  • Crisis protection: In an emergency, small gold bars make an excellent, handy means of payment and exchange.

With the 1g gold bar from Heimerle + Meule, you acquire a piece of physical fine gold firmly embedded in a high-quality FineCard in credit card format. The card depicts a barefoot bridal couple walking hand in hand across a wooden bridge – the groom in a dark blue suit, the bride in a white ruffled dress. Above them, the greeting "Happy Wedding" is written in elegant cursive script. In the upper right corner sits the minted bar bearing the inscription "Fine Gold 999.9" and "1g" along with the company logo.

The design is the personal touch – but the actual substance is the fine gold. Despite the lovely occasion, what you are acquiring here is full-fledged investment gold, whose value is based on the gold price rather than the paper of the packaging. So it's not just a gift, but a genuine, readily resaleable asset in your hand.

Heimerle + Meule – minted fine gold "Made in Germany"

Heimerle + Meule from Pforzheim is Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery, with a company history dating back to 1845. The firm is certified as an LBMA Good Delivery Refiner – a globally recognized quality seal that stands for the highest purity and flawless workmanship. The 1 gram gold bar is minted and arrives to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, shipped with insurance. Each bar also comes with a certificate of authenticity confirming fineness and weight in black and white. This complete provenance makes later resale particularly straightforward.

Small gold bars as inflation hedge

Gold is the oldest currency in the world and has been a proven store of value for over 6,000 years. It possesses an intrinsic, physically grounded value, has never had a price of zero, and is recognized around the globe as a means of payment and exchange. While fiat money can be increased almost at will by central banks, the supply of gold remains naturally scarce – a key reason for its long-term stability in value. It is no coincidence that these very central banks count among the largest gold holders of all.

Gold protects your purchasing power when paper currencies lose trust – an advantage that pays off especially in turbulent times.

Another plus point lies in its high liquidity: fine gold is tradable worldwide and can quickly be converted back into cash. From a tax perspective, investment gold is particularly attractive – the purchase is exempt from VAT, and profits from a later sale are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year.

Give a genuine gold investment as a wedding gift

For a wedding, don't give a fleeting item – give a lasting asset instead. Small amounts of gold accumulate over the years into a considerable fortune, one that can even be passed down from generation to generation. In this way, you combine heartfelt congratulations with an introduction to physical gold investment – a thoughtful gesture with real, lasting value.
