What the stamp says

The cast bar carries all the marks too. We read them on the photograph.

Cast bars

Cast and stamped

The house calls cast bars “the classics among processed precious metals”: carefully stamped, made of 999.9 fine gold or fine silver, in a timelessly compact shape.

Their surface is slightly rounded and not quite even. According to the house, the dimensions may vary slightly for production reasons.

According to the house, cast gold bars have a surface that is less sensitive to scratches than that of minted bars.

Heimerle + Meule

A house from Pforzheim

Recovering and refining precious metal has been at the heart of the house since its founding. Today it recovers gold and silver from jewellery, coins, dental gold alloys, silverware and silver-plated cutlery, as well as from industrial residues.

Chronicle

The chronicle of the house

  1. 1845

Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, in Pforzheim to recover precious metal from production waste on behalf of his customers.

  2. 1945

In the war the company building is destroyed, according to the house on 23 February. The house finds new premises at the jewellery and watch factory Knoll + Pregitzer.

  3. 1977

The house leaves the town centre and moves into premises in the Brötzinger Tal industrial area.

  4. 2010

The house introduces its investment products division.

  5. 2014

On 3 June the LBMA, the association of the London precious metals market, admits Heimerle + Meule to its Good Delivery List for gold, the register of accredited refiners.

LBMA

What the London list means

The LBMA’s Good Delivery List names the refiners whose bars may be delivered into the London market.

It refers to large bars: for gold between 350 and 430 fine ounces, about 10.9 to 13.4 kilograms. Smaller bars do not count in London wholesale trading, so a bar of 250 g is not a Good Delivery bar.

The print “LBMA Good Delivery Refiner” on the packaging therefore refers to the house, not to the individual bar.

Cast for Eternity

The special feature of cast gold bars lies in their robustness. The rounded edges and small solidification lines give each specimen an individual character, making every bar unique. With dimensions of 54 mm in length, 27 mm in width, and a height of 10 mm, the bar sits comfortably in the hand and is an impressive testament to physical investment.

A Symbol of Purity

On the front of the bar, the weight, fineness, and the mint mark of Heimerle und Meule proudly stand out – a sign of true purity and quality. The surface of the bar gleams in the unmistakable golden hue that has fascinated humanity for thousands of years and is regarded as the epitome of wealth and power.

Gold – The True Inflation Hedge

Gold has proven to be one of the most stable currencies in the world and is a proven inflation hedge. In times when paper money loses value, gold retains its value, thus offering protection against a loss of purchasing power. It is a physical asset that, unlike fiat currencies, cannot be increased at will, giving it a scarcity that keeps its value stable.

The Wisdom of Central Banks

Gold is held as a reserve by the world's largest central banks for good reason. It is a sign that even the guardians of paper money trust gold to stabilize the financial system and secure their wealth. You too can hold this trust in your own hands, with a gold bar from Heimerle und Meule.

Gold as Crisis Protection

In times of political and economic uncertainty, gold becomes an even more valuable asset. As crisis protection, it has repeatedly proven its worth, as it is recognized and tradable worldwide. Owning a gold bar means always having a form of currency that can serve as a medium of exchange in times of crisis.

Timeless Retirement Provision

Gold is important not only for securing your wealth in the present, but also as a long-term retirement provision. It allows you to pass on wealth across generations while preserving or even increasing its real value. A 250 g gold bar from Heimerle und Meule is thus an investment in the future.

Tax-Free Profits

Another advantage of this precious metal: profits from the sale of gold are generally tax-free, provided a minimum holding period of one year is observed. This offers you additional flexibility and financial benefits when investing in gold.
