Bei diesem 40g Goldbarren handelt es sich um eine Goldmuschel, welche aus 999er Feingold in Südafrika gegossen wurden. Cowrie Muscheln wurden als eines der ersten Tauschmittel schon vor Tausenden von Jahren verwendet. Das sogenannte Muschelgeld war quasi der Vorläufer unserer mordernen Münzen. Als Homage hierzu entwickelte die Südafrikanische Edelmetallschmelze MC Metal Concentrators SA diese formschönen 40g Muschelbarren.
